Locally Grown Apples

We have apples from mid August through May. Please feel free to scroll down and see the varieties we typically stock!  Most apples are grown locally by First Fruits Farms, formally Broetje Orchards.   All Apples are 0.79/lb, or for 50 + lbs, 0.39/lb.  Please contact us for bin pricing.

Honeycrisp
Their creamy white flesh is exceptionally crisp and aromatic. A balanced content of sugar and acid gives honeycrisp apples a pleasant sweet-tart flavor that varies in strength depending upon the maturity of the apple.

Cosmic Crisp
Cosmic Crisp Apples is the newest variety on the market.  It is really sweet and delicious.   Like most of the new varieties, it doesn’t brown when sliced,  Cosmic Crisp Apples are a cross between a Honeycrisp and an Enterprise Apple.

Fuji
Fuji apples are a cross between two classic American apple varieties – Red Delicious and Virginia Ralls Janet. The Fuji is the sweetest apple around! Fuji apples are also great storing apples, and because of that, are available year-round.

Opal
Opal’s are medium to large, round fruit. They have an almost iridescent, lemon-yellow skin and slight russeting at the stem. This apple has a soft yet crisp, cream-colored flesh with a sweet taste and a slightly tart finish.  It also doesn’t brown when cut.   It is our personal favorite.

Granny Smith
Granny Smith apples are known for their bright green skin and crisp, tart flavor. Originally from Australia, they’ve become a favorite for both snacking and baking. Their firm texture holds up well in pies and crisps, while the tangy taste adds a refreshing bite to salads and snacks. Granny Smith apples also resist browning, making them great for slicing ahead of time.

Pink Lady
Pink Ladies are a sweet-tart apple with great versatility. Pink Ladies are high acid, high sugar apple with a crisp bite and effervescent finish. The unique skin, flesh, and flavor of Pink Ladies make it one of the most versatile apples around. They are the best apples for cooking and juicing.
