Spring is coming quickly. It is time to start getting ready! It is now safe to plant cold hardy varieties: Pansies, viola, primrose, dracaena, trees, shrubs, grasses and most vines, A few more varieties can generally be planted now, but are not fully cold hardy: Geraniums, petunias, calibrachoa, guara, verbena, osteospermum, and snapdragons.
The last frost date in our area varies between April 1 and about May 5. More often than not, we have a frost at the end of April or the first week of May, but the last several years has brought an early spring.
Our planting season has started, and we are now planting busy for the coming spring sales. Stop by to see the progress. Bring in your old hanging baskets. Pick your flowers, and we will grow them.
Today, our fruit stand has primarily apples, Pasta Mammas, and canned goods.
Of course, the new roads, coming from the interstate or the Walmart area, you will have to turn on Jericho near the front of the greenhouse. To leave, go towards Walmart and around the new traffic circle.
